I want to take some time to talk about True Worship. We can sing to God on Sundays or in are room, or in are car while driving. That can be a form of worship to God. But I want to talk about worshiping God when things are crazy in your life or confusing. I think we have true worship to God when we praise Him in our sufferings. It does not feel good at all to suffer hence the word suffer, but to go through suffering is actually a good thing because it reveals things in our life, and it will also reveal who God is in the midst of your suffering.
This is what James says about suffering “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” So we see here that suffering is a good thing because it is making us stronger and it is growing us as Christians.
The question is though will you lay down your life, and surrender or stay surrendered to God and worship Him when it hurts. To me that is a beautiful expression of worship to God. He knows the trials and test that come at us and that we will go through. He knows how much pain the suffering causes us. He also truly cares about us even if we do not feel it or understand it. But will we truely worship Him in the midst of the chaos. I think it is a beautiful, powerful place to be to worship God when it hurts, to me that is true worship. Also in the place of suffering you may be at, He is still God. He is still worthy to be praised, He is still the king of kings and lord of lords. God is truly worthy to be praised no matter what we are going through. I pray that if you read this and our going through something that you will trust your creator, that you will not run from Him in the pain but worship Him. Know that He has your best in mind, Know that He is and will never try to harm you, But rather He is trying to grow you stretch you perfect you strengthen and conform you in to the image of His son. Worship Him in the place of suffering or pain you are at and let your worship rise up to God as a sweet aroma!
